3 Flemish Teams crowned Belgian Little League Baseball Champion.
The Belgian Little League Baseball Championships were played last Pentecost weekend on the baseball fields of the Royal Mortsel Stars. For the participating Flanders Little League teams with great results. No less than 3 Flemish teams were crowned Belgian Little League Champion 2017.
The playing levels of all participating teams from Brussels, Wallonia, Flanders East and Flanders West were above expectations. The games were super exciting and the good attendance of spectators and fans made for a great ambiance.
The boys and girls who are the Belgian Little League Baseball Champions of 2017 are the:
Little League Majors (10-12 yrs) of Flanders West
LL Intermediates (12-13 yrs) of Flanders
LL Juniors (13-14) of Flanders
Baseball and Softball levels in Flanders – in fact throughout the whole of Belgium – are clearly on the up.
This summer, the Belgium LL Champions will represent our country at the European Little League Championships. These will be held in July at different locations in Europe. The winners of the European Championships will be eligible to play at the World Series Little League in the United States. So, there is much to play for the coming months!
