Player Development

“Youth Development Programs are regionally put into practice by VBSL and LFBBS. All development programs of individual players and youth concerning Baseball, Softball, BeeBall and G-Baseball in Belgium takes place under the auspices of KBBSF-FRBBS Board of Directors”.

VBSL – YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

Our Youth is Our Future – Scholing, Guidance and Louke Wouters Fund

Our Youth is our Future.

VBSL awards clubs who have Youth Development Programs and an active Youth Coordinator. Periodically progress is being monitored.
Support and subsidies are given via VBSL and The Louke Wouters Fund to clubs who focus in their youth development amongst others on:

  • Talent and membership search
  • Learning and individual guidance
  • Fair Play and sports ethics

 

Via VBSL -on club level and or individual level- there are many ways and activities for the kids to play, to actively participate and learn:

  • BeeBall – recreational and local tournaments
  • Indoor and outdoor youth tournaments
  • Fan Days and the Yearly Youth Event
  • Baseball Competitions
  • Softball Competitions
  • Academies (youth entry levels)
  • Little League

There is also scholing in youth guidance for the adults (parents, coaches, volunteers). Programs:

  • BeeBall and youth coaches
  • umpires
  • scorers
  • first aid (via clubs)
